London 2012 Opening Ceremony
“My love for dancing and for researching the Olympics meet in a single discourse: dancing for the London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. This was not the initial plan. My intention was to gain a first-hand experience of the Olympic Games by becoming a volunteer in the Opening Ceremony. I submitted my application and was later invited to the first meeting for the selection process. But a surprise was there for me… The selection process was auditioning for recruiting volunteer dancers! So I danced. With my formal dress. And heels. And I enjoyed it. And passed through the next round. And the final round. And here I was a few months later dancing on the stage of the Olympic Stadium in the section Frankie and June say…Thanks Tim.

I say…Thanks London!”
